About Us

The Walker Family Events Foundation was formed out of a love for people and for the community.  As a family living in Compton, CA, we have a desire to see economic, social, and educational opportunities be made available to low-income communities in Southern California and across the U.S.

At Walker Family Events we believe that the community can heal itself.

We design and plan events that produce opportunities for developing and sustaining lasting partnerships between residents, local organizations, academic institutions, and government.

Our events help to build these new partnerships by providing an environment conducive to positive interactions, which open the lines of communication between families and agencies that service their community, and create networking opportunities that help to improve the quality of life for all involved.

Walker Family Events produces:

Holiday events
Community  events
Events with focused educational or informational content
Cultural events
Community festivals/fairs
Corporate events
And more...

Funds raised at Walker Family Events Foundation community partnership events are returned to that community as targeted grants and scholarships, and other needs-based donations.

How your donations are returned to the community:

  • Education grants

  • Local sponsorships

  • Community holiday giveaways

  • Scholarships

  • Grants to organizations with a proven track record of serving the community.

  • And more...
